Can I begin to tell you how excited I am about a middle school here? Yes, I understand there is going to be a big period of change and growth for everyone involved, but really it is going to be a great thing to be a part of. It really has been something that we have talked about for so long I am just so pumped that it is going to be a reality. There is one thing I am upset about......and that is that I won't get to see the high schoolers in our halls anymore. One of the best things about teaching is watching the kids grow up into the fine adults that we have had graduate from this establishment in the past. I will miss that. But I am so excited for all of the opportunities we will be able to provide that we maybe can't provide daily now..........it is going to be great! I am anxious and nervous in many ways to meet the 5-8th graders from Laurel that will be here next year. I worry about not remembering all of their names..............I am sure it won't be long and I will be calling each of them by their brother's or sister's names.............kids this age always just love that :-)
I am also excited that my kids will be Laurel Bears...........and will be able to meet all of the great people that teach in Laurel. I know they have the best in mind for everyone! They are really great people! I am also excited that in the not so long future.........they will also get to be Coleridge Bulldogs...what a great combination!
